English Two and Me

The class as described technically is of course about speech and its related principles, and i do expect to learn a lot about it. Speech itself may seem pretty easy since we all know how to converse even in the most simple ways. However, there are certain elements and settings where a person is required to act and present one's self in a rather different and more guided manner. It is in these circumstances than I do believe would be most beneficial not only to me, but to my fellow classmates as well. We are after all, growing into different stages of our lives, where the simple and mediocre cannot land easily with a rank of good.

I would want to learn more about the proper handling of one's self in a less laid back scenario or perhaps even in a formal setting. This I believe is not always presented and thought to some students today, even though it may be beneficial in terms of real life application. A good lesson to consider is the methodology of actually organizing a set of ideas or thoughts, and being able to present them in a very effective and attention-grabbing manner. A skill such as that may very well help us in numerous circumstances. Of course, I would not forget, I would also want to be trained and thought how to keep my composure in various speech requiring situations and also to exert confidence in execution and post - presentation procedures.

To be able to attain all the skills and lessons that I personally think is needed, may I suggest a more supportive method than that of the usual. Thus, this includes the use of group work, or even the act of presenting with a partner. This may help us test the water slowly as not to be shocked with the sudden terror of public speaking. Also, since our class isn't about writing literally, I do think that oral means of examinations and assessments can be the more practical approach to conducting the class and contributing to its partial completion.

All of which I personally believe may help us well in class, and that to grow together as better individuals who are ready to take on the real world, one step at a time.
